Your Hall Runs on Teams of Volunteers
It all begins with an idea.
The Hall isn’t just bricks and mortar—it’s a living, breathing community hub, kept thriving by a remarkable network of volunteers and a small but mighty team of paid staff.
At the heart of operations is Lynn, our wonderful Hall Administrator, who steers bookings and enquiries with care and professionalism. Alongside her are two brilliant cleaners who keep the spaces fresh, safe, and ready for every class, meeting, and celebration.
Surrounding this core are volunteer teams that bring extra energy, skills, and heart to the mix. And at the helm of our licensed spaces, the Tannery Bar is overseen by a dedicated group of Directors who help steer the course of the hall’s social and financial sustainability.
🧩 Take a glance at the diagram above—it paints the picture of a collaborative ecosystem in action:
🔧 Maintenance Volunteers tackle upgrades and repairs like door replacements and heater installations.
🍽️ Kitchen Helpers and 🍻 Bar Volunteers support our events and gatherings with warmth and efficiency.
🧠 The Committee leads strategy and governance, working hand-in-hand with the Bar Directors.
💰 Fundraisers and 📋 Grant Writers secure the resources that keep us going.
📣 Communications Volunteers connect us through updates, blog posts, and community surveys.
🍺 The legendary “Beer Boys” help keep the bar stocked and running with flair.
✨ Together, paid staff, directors, and volunteers form one big team—united by a shared love for the hall and the community it serves.
🚀 How You Can Get Involved
We’re always eager to welcome new volunteers—whether you have an hour a week or prefer project-based roles. If you’ve ever thought, “I could help with that,” chances are you absolutely could!
Whether you’re practical, creative, tech-savvy, sociable, detail-minded, or just happy to muck in—there’s a place for you. We'll offer guidance, friendship, and a chance to shape something meaningful.
🌱 Every new volunteer grows our capacity to serve, sustain, and evolve.
Pop by the hall, drop us a message, or chat with one of our current volunteers. And if you’re unsure where to start—we’d love to help you find your fit.
🎉 Together, we’re more than a committee—we’re a community. And there’s always room for more.
Blog Post Title Three
It all begins with an idea.
It all begins with an idea. Maybe you want to launch a business. Maybe you want to turn a hobby into something more. Or maybe you have a creative project to share with the world. Whatever it is, the way you tell your story online can make all the difference.
Don’t worry about sounding professional. Sound like you. There are over 1.5 billion websites out there, but your story is what’s going to separate this one from the rest. If you read the words back and don’t hear your own voice in your head, that’s a good sign you still have more work to do.
Be clear, be confident and don’t overthink it. The beauty of your story is that it’s going to continue to evolve and your site can evolve with it. Your goal should be to make it feel right for right now. Later will take care of itself. It always does.
