Volunteers play a major part in the successful running of events at the Village Hall from gardening to helping put out tables (and put them away!). Not everybody wants to be on the Village Hall committee but instead they may prefer to give a few hours of their time to helping keep the Hall spick-and span and it’s community activities on track. Some people have helped the Hall for many years in this way but we are aware that others, some recently arrived in the area, may also wish to help.
So we have decided to establish a volunteer register. This will be a list of people who would sometimes like to contribute an hour or two to help with such tasks as gardening, and setting up and taking down event furniture. Some people may wish to help with cooking or serving behind the bar. Whatever you might want to contribute, it would be most welcome so please let us know your name and contact details (phone, email address). The organizer of an event can then contact you to ask if you are available to help with a particular event. The contribution may take only an hour or two but it would be much appreciated.
If you want to help in this way, please send your details to info@infoclaverhamvillagehall.co.uk and you will be added to our volunteer register. If you have a preference please let us know the kind of thing you would like to help with, but this is not essential. No previous experience needed!
